“I had a bag of fritos, they were texas grilled fritos. These fritos had grill marks on them. They remind me of something, when we used to fire up the barbeque and throw down some fritos.      “Love is not blind; it simply enables one to see things others fail to see.”

Let's see, I have a couple of books I want to review that came out in 2011, that I loved.

First off,

The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens

Overall rating from 1-10: 10

This Incredible novel, is awesome!! For me, it beats all

the fantasy books that people have been into within the last 10-15 years. It is the beginning book of a series set of three.

The Story: Is about 3 siblings who get taken away from their parents at a very young age. 10 years pass by being orphans, and they run into an enchanted atlas. Kate, Michael, & Emma then go through a heart-pumping adventure invovling  dangerous lands, an evil queen, and saving their family, & the world.

The story is suspenseful, & really keeps you clinging on to the book. It is one that once you start, you are unable to stop. You love the characters, you love the setting and vibe it gives. I was so enthralled & surprized to read a novel like this in our modern day. It's done brilliantly. & is a Must-Read. I recommend this book to anyone of any age.

“Never let a problem to be solved become more important than the

                                                                                              person to be loved.”

The second one I would like to review is:

 Swipe by Evan Angler

Overall rating from 1-10: 10

Oh this book, I don't know even where to start. But this tale is also a start of an earth shaking series! It is political, but incredible fiction story that really sends your head to spinning and once again, you can not put this down!

The Story: Logan Langly is just months away from his 13th birthday and the biggest day of his life - - The day he will finally be Marked. The Mark lets people get jobs, vote, even go out to eat or buy concert tickets. Becoming Marked, means becoming free. Or so he is told. Five years ago when Logan's sister went out to get her Mark, she never came back.

Now Logan can't shake the feeling he's being watched. . .

and then he finds the wire.

Suspense, Intrigue, Depth, this book has everything a good book should have. It's in every possible meaning of Awesomeness!

I'm into yet, another great artist of music. . Andy Lange, look him up on youtube. He's awesome. I'm putting one of his songs on the song player on here. :)
I hope y'all have a wonderful new year and beginning of 2012!!! I'll be here for ya, being silly, goofy, weird, and just being me. Love you again MeHearties!!!!!!!

So, Is there a cure for my Madness??

If there was, I wouldn't want it! :) Hello MeHearties! It's been quite awhile, forgive for me for that. . I went down south for work for around 3 weeks, and then my car broke, and now I'm stuck at home, and quite honestly I've just been incredibly busy! You all know how it goes :)

So! What's Happening??
My spirit's are high & happy. :) Been working, in one way or another. . (life's story??)
But at the same time, I have been doing a lot more!! Working more on my music, and I'm really happy with a new style that I have changed into. . . That's incredibly big to any musician. And, it's becoming everything I ever wanted it to be!

"If you have time to Breathe, you have time for Music. . "
-Mr. Darling from the Andy Griffith Show

I've left my music for so long, it feels as though I came back home from a very long journey.
The Lord has truly blessed me, it seems that my gift & love for music was His idea to give me a way out of a stressful world, to think more of Him and to help me breathe during hard times.
Everything is changing, and I welcome it! It's a little scary, but, it's exciting. :)

Thinking of music, I have this one song stuck in my head, and I've been replaying it over & over, by a talented young man! Link Here: Loved & Lost by Chester (YouTube)

Random Reviews!!
So, I've been playing my DS lite alot while on break from work and spare time when everyone's been in their seperate ways. I've played a couple games, which I think are worth reviewing!

First is,
The Last Window: The Secret of Cape West
  Overall rating from 1-10: 10
This game, was quite awesome. It is the sequel to the oh so popular, Hotel Dusk: Room 215.
Which is also another one of my faves, but the sequel beat the original. For me, it was for one reason. . The ending.  I was, slightly disappointed in the ending of the first one. It didn't answer all my questions, and it left me feeling like I had missed something, as small as it could of been. It was still worth playing! But this sequel, was awesome.
It's about an ex-detective who is now a door to door salesman, and lives in apartment complex which used to be a hotel. His father passed away when he was quite young,
and he never truly knew him. So the bases of this game, is where the apartments are being sold, and within the last few days he ends up getting caught in some events and other people who also live in the building and ends up searching the truth about the past.
It's filled with great puzzles, characters, and story.  It's for the type of gamer who loves detective games (Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Sherlock Holmes, & more)
The Puzzles can be complex, but extremely creative! Which makes you want to solve them even more. . But be warned, there truly seems to be no bounds to them with the ds. Some can involve alot of physical activity on your part!
The Characters are all quite entertaining, and you tend to know who they are in the beginning. . Though there are some twists, you can kinda feel whos the bad and whos the good. . And which ones you love! And even ones you hate. There's a good variety, and they all have a story & background which makes your detective senses go flying.
The Story has everything you could want. Mystery, intrigue. You play the part as the ex-detective, Kyle Hyde. & your trying to found out his past mostly. (Even though you found alot about others as well) It's filled with humor, action, even some parts that could make you tear up. . (I did!) & the ending leaves you wanting to play the game again.

                                                                                         -Helen Keller

So! The second game I want to Review is;
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
   Overall Rating from 1-10: 10
This was a quite, (and I do mean quite!) a different, but kewl game! It's from the makers of the Ace Attornery games. . Which I haven't been able to play as of yet, but am wanting to!
This game is about a character, whom name is "Sissel" we learn. . that has died. And at the moment of his death, becomes a ghost and has forgotten everything of his life. . Including the reason why he was murdered, and who murdered him. So, he has to figure out why the night's events took place. . Before morning.
It's actually quite entertaining, and has no negative feelings. It's done in a humorous way.
As a ghost, you get the power to move only inanimate objects, as well as go 4 minutes back before another persons death, change what happened, & save the victim.
The Puzzles, can be pretty complex. . But, it really does depend on the person. (And there's a always a walkthrough to help out on those toughies!)
But they are very much worth it, and quite a refreshing change of challenge.
The Characters are awesome!! &  can be very funny. The character your playing as, Sissel, is already likeable for his humor.  All the characters have their own, flow? I suppose I shall say. . And they truly make the game.
The Story Once again, has alot of kewl stuff. Your trying to figure out why Sissel was murdered, and who he was, and everything else about his life. Why, when, who, how?
Is pretty much the questions. A complete detective's game. It has, the BEST ending ever in my opinion. You never see it coming, but alas! I do not want to spoil it any more. It's an incredible game, and one that like Last Window, makes you wanna play over and over.

Alrighty! Done with Reviews. .
I have been, as I've said above, kinda stuck at home. And while I have been doing work, I have been spending alot of time on Facebook and YouTube.
I created a youtube channel. I actually had one already, but. Because how I have all my google stuff set up, I created another one for ease. And I actually want to attempt to use it!   Idk what to put up quite yet, I'm thinking some random stuff and perhaps some of my music! :) (I betcha can't guess what I named the channel??? LoL)
Oooh, random thought. . But the sequel to probably my favorite computer game, The Lost Crown. . Will be coming out soon!!! And I'm utterly excited!!! It's called, The Last Crown.
I just can't wait!!!

“I opened-up a yogurt, underneath the lid it said, "Please try again." because they were having a contest that I was unaware of. I thought maybe I opened the yogurt wrong. ...Or maybe Yoplait was trying to inspire me... "Come on Mitchell, don't give up!" An inspirational message from your friends at Yoplait, fruit on the bottom, hope on top.”
                                                                                                 -Mitch Hedberg

You know. . I love chapstick & lipgloss. They can come in such kewl containers, and smells, and flavors!!
Like, awhile back I got some lipgloss from one of my best friends. .(Kaitieeeenatorrrr! Love you girl!) and they were ice cream cones. . That had chocolate, strawberry, and mint flavor/smells! Not to mention, there was also PENS! Incredibly kewl honestly. .
I'm wearing a Bubble Yum Watermelon flavored chapstick right now that's really good too.

Completely random, I know :D

Anyways. . Oh! So I've been doing a new form of exercising. . Which consists of goin around 1 acre of land, about 5 times, with my headphones on, and dancing wildly to upbeat music.
Works really well! And wears you clean out. . I was hurting everywhere. LoL. It's also fun.

So, I must now leave you wonderful readers, until next post!  I must go off to work, dye my hair again, work some more and then whatever comes after that! :)
Love you all me golden doves!

Completely Random, Completely Silly!

Hello all! Good day to you!
So, I've been ultra busy since my last post.
I created a completely new website, www.seriouslysilly.webs.com
It's not completely finished yet. I added some of my old content to it.
And I deleted the old one entirely. I am having content issues as what to add, I figured, I'll add as I go along.
Like I do with my blog, or facebook, or anything else I'm into on the internet.

 So, What's Happening??
I've been working, alot! & then been the energizer bunny on the weekends. . Went swimming and am officially a fried tomato. .  With Blisters and Bubbles. Very painful indeed, but I did have fun and oh well.
At least I'll live. . Maybe. lol

I did dye my hair! Did it a nice auburn, it pretty much made my beige strands that were within my brown turn red. Which looks awesome, cept for the fact that I've almost washed it out already! LoL!
So with my next paycheck, I will prolly get alittle more stronger and abit more red dye. I'm very happy with the look, so I will like to do it more.

My room has been incredibly messy lately, been working and all haven't had much time!
But, I've made up, shall we say, a system? On cleaning my room where it doesn't get as bad as it always does.
Repeat these steps, every morning after you awake but before you go to work or school
Number 1, pick up at least 5 items that are non-clothing.
Number 2, pick up at least 10 articles of clothing (Dirty, put in hamper. Clean, put in Closet, Drawers, ect.)
Number 3, pick up at least 10 pieces of trash, wether that be coke cans, wrappers, paper, whatever. If it's trash, trash it.

That's it. It works real well, if you can keep it up every morning. Even then, you can do it every two days. . .
It just helps enough to where it isn't overwhelming.
And when you have friends over, or just want to clean your room completely to feel comfortable it won't be overwhelming.

I have been on a long train ride of emotions lately. Been one thing or another. I truly don't know why, but that's just how it's been. Will be completely happy one minute, then something even the slightest will trigger me into a sadness. Just been real sensitive, I think it's because I have alot of plans that I've been aching to be done.
And something's always come up to where I haven't been able to accomplish them. Usually financial reasons.
I will have to figure something out. Perhaps some prayers for me on this problem would help, I would be very grateful!

I will most likely be leaving by the end of the week, or beginning of next week down south near Corpus Christi for work.
Will be good work, will start programming as well! Even have a job for me personally that has nothing to do with my dad's buisness that should help!
I believe it is a God given start, pray it goes well!

Let's see, I went to Forever 21 a few days back and got some kewl accessories!

The phone necklace you see is awesome, cuz the receiver comes off & on like a real phone. And the bag necklace opens up as well :)
Yeah, not alot but I felt like it that day lol

“I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. And I know you do the same things too, So we're really not that different, me and you.” ~Colin Raye

Been wanting lots of chocolate lately!!! Idk why, just been having cravings. I actually haven't been eating as much, as a whole.

But Idt I've lost any weight either. I have no clue. But anyways!

OH! Man, I've had this video/song stuck in my head for two days straight now. . By Ryan Higa & His pals. .

(Ya know, the all-famous "nigahiga" on YouTube??) It's called "Nice Guys". Go. Now. And watch it!

It's hilarious and pretty good, and it's catchy! :D

Oh so I played & conquered "Nancy Drew: The Captive Curse"

So here's my short & sweet review of it. Everything rater from 1-10.

Was. Completely. Awwwesome!!!! :)

No, seriously now. They did good. Characters I would rate would be at an 8. (Lukas = Love)

Storyline, would be a 9.

Snooping was plentiful, though I would liked more. . I'd rate it a 7.

The castle was awesome, perfect actually! But the woods, really dissapointed me.  They could've added just a bit more, just some more substance or a good scene to them. So I would have to say a 7.

Mini games, were the best I've seen! I had so much fun doing them! & the puzzles, were awesome! They were tricky, but enjoyable! Those rated a 10 in my book!

Overall game, I would rate a 9!

And I will be playing it again soon! :)

Let's see, what's something else I was wanting to review. .

OH! The Harry Potter movie.

Honestly, somewhat a disaster. Well. I suppose that's too harsh. And ofcourse it's just an opinion. You still have to go see it!

I honestly just think everyone, the actors, staff, everybody just was tired. Was jsut tired and was wanting to get the HP movie series over with and done. They didn't put it in that extra effort as they used too. I even said, if they had to have taken longer, take a break, and even make the movie 3 hours long. . I would have wanted that, then what we got. Which was thrown together mac n cheese. . I truly was expecting more. But, I suppose that's just how it goes.

My rating on Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows part 2 is an honest 5.

“If you had a friend who was a tightrope walker, and you were walking down a sidewalk, and he fell, that would be completely unacceptable...” -Mitch Hedberg

Oki. Like. Seriously. Someone needs to donate me 10 dollars, so that I may go and buy me this awesome apple pie from a breakfast restaurant in town. LoL. It sounds so good right now!

Well, I need to go wash clothes, & clean random things. & put more lotion and antiseptic spray on my bubbly blistered burns. LoL!

I hope you all have a wonderful day, & time before my next blog post! If you have anything specific you would like me to blog about, please comment below! Love you all! God Bless & take care!

July 4th: My favorite holiday

So, Happy July 4th. My favorite holiday. :)
Sadly, pretty much all of Texas has a burn ban, and is considered a Natural Disaster. So,
no fireworks. Which really sucks! It's my favorite thing!
The smell, the sparks, just watching them gives me a peaceful feeling.
So, needless to say, I am somewhat sorrowful this 4th of July.
I was going to go to missouri s&t for pyrotechnics actually. . But that's prolly not gonna happen now cuz I don't wanna live in missouri for 4 years away from my family. But hey! Who knows!

So, what am I going to do on july 4th? I really have no clue.
Familys going to the parade. So, will go with them. . . I want to at least.
I got the new Nancy Drew game, The Captive Curse. Really wanna play it.
Oh and I'm also doing to dye my hair. I'm a brunette, but my hair color has gotten a bit weird for some reason. Like, I have bright and blondish yellow strands mixed in now. & I just not happy with it right now lol I've never died my har before. But I just chose a richer brown. To give my hair alittle bolder look. . Maybe I should just dye it blue and get it over with. . . :D
Perhaps I'll post pics of it, idk! (Only if you ask. . . :D)

I usually put a quote, or a joke, or something else than just me yakking, but I can't think or find any right now so we're just gonna skip that part lol
Hope you all have a wonderful time, love you all!!! God Bless China plates :)

Cheezy Stuffed Chicken Breasts. . .

So! A few years back I had made my version of a cheese stuffed chicken breast recipe Like I kept the basic idea but changed a whole bunch. While I tried to find the original recipe again so that I could remember how I did mine, I couldn't figure out which one was it. So, I just created my own once again, and didn't use any recipe really at all. They came out awesome! So I'm gonna post what I did, my recipe for it here. . (Picture of one of the chicken breasts up top)
Alrighty, it's actually really simple. But there's no real measurements. . . But it's easy enough to just do on your own.

Package of 8-10 Boneless Chicken Breasts, (I got a package of 8, at walmart it costed $10.10)
1lb-2lbs of shredded Colby& Monteray Jack Cheese mix, (Got 2lbs, but didn't not use even half of it. Costed about 7 bucks)
Package of Saltine Crackers (was $1.19 at walmart)
A giant sprinkle/cover of:
 Salt
 Pepper
 Basil

And then on the kitchenware side, you'll need a
glass 9 by 13 inch dish. (I could only fit 6 in this pan though, and then had to get another glass dish out that was jsut a random one in the pantry and I have no clue to what size it is, you'll just have to find something, but try to make it glass.(
And then a Meat Tenderizer, or something to beat the breasts with.

First, put the package of saltine crackers in a big ziplock bag or something, crush em. . Till most of it is pretty fine with some small sized chunks. Now I didn't put the salt, pepper, or basil into the mixture of the saltines. .
But from my experience, I should have. I was washing my hands every second just ot put on the other seasonings. So simply put pretty even medium amounts of the three into the crushed crackers. (This will be totally based on your judgement, of how much spice you like more or less.)

Now, around the end I did throw a couple more spices. .  I'm very big on smelling what I have (Was kinda hard to smell raw chicken, but in this case you think of how chicken taste like. Your nose has taste buds in it, and therfore you nose and tounge really do share alot of common ground on food. So if it smells right together, it will 95% taste like it smells. There are exeptions but that's my personal basic rule.)
I threw some kind of chicken seasoning in there along with, I think some season all just to be weird. Idt it really even came up in taste because of how little I put, but it's a good time for you to experiment on a few of the singluar breasts if you like. Now put the cracker mixture onto a plate or pan as you will be puting this on the raw chicken later.
The cheese: put a really good amount of cheese on a seperate plate. As you'll be handling raw chicken (Can we say, Salmonella?) and you DO NOT want to be putting you hand back in to the bag and sticking that cheese back in teh fridge when your done. and you'll be grabbing some cheese, sticking right amount on chicken and then go on to the next kinda deal. If you don't put enough on the plate to begin with, just remember to wash your hands before you even touch teh bag. It's good to be safe than sorry.

Now the chicken: take a plate and put a breast on it, it'd be good if you put seranwrap on top of the chicken.
Take your meat tenderizer and start beating the thing.

Your trying to make it flatter, and wide enough to put some shredded cheese in the middle and kinda roll it up. Not to mention, it helps make it easier to chew and gives it a melt in your mouth feel.
Once the breast is ready to your expectations, take teh cheese, put it in the middle, enough but not to much and then sorta of roll/close the chicken around the cheese.
When  it's somewhat secure at least, hold the chicken and kinda roll it in the crackers and use your hand to put some of it on the missed spots. You want to at least cover it.
and then stick it in the pan and repeat the process. They should be at least 3 quarters of an inch away from each other. But it's not really a big deal. No, theres nothing you need to spray on the pan or anything.
When your close to the last ones, you want to preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Before you put em in, you can choose to add anything to it. I could tell that some raw broccoli cooked with it would've prolly been a home run, but that's all up to you. You can add any more spices to top on em, or perhaps some leaf spices of some sort. Whatever smells good and it you wanna try to make it pretty or not. I did sprinkle more cheese on top of em all at this time.
Put foil over the pan and chicken, use a toothpick and puncture some holes on top, however many you wnat but at least 6.

Stick in the oven, put timer on 40 mins, check it.  Mine ended up being 45 mins.
the only way to check it if it's truly done(To me at least, as I'ma  stickler for extremely done meats. I'll burn it before anything), is to take it out and cut one in the middle. If the meat doesn't look raw and is a nice meaty look, and white it should be done. If your not sure, perhaps google can help or someone in your house can tell. The top picture shows an idea. But it will not "brown" as much as one might think.
When you store them, make sure you do not keep em in teh same pan with the inch of goo and juice. That's never a good thing. You're gonna have to figure that out.I happened to have another pan lol
But there you go! A simple chicken breast recipe. Prep time took about 30 mins for me. And the cooking 45.
Cost: around 25 bucks. Feeds anywhere from 5-9.

Random quote of the day!
"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear- not absence of fear." - Mark Twain

So What's Happening??
Well, I didn't get as much done the other day as I would like, but enough .
I am at the moment washing clothes, and cleaning my room. And that's all I really plan to do today as far as work goes. Oh! And put up some camouflage burlap in daddy's shop.
And for fun today, prolly gonna go to the drive in and see the Green Lantern, after it on the same screen X-men: First Class. I've seen the xmen already, and really enjoyed it. But it did have a few parts that I wasn't too keen on. But if you've watched the other xmens, it's no worse than them. And if you were perhaps disappointed in the last one, this one will refresh you immensely.
I've been excited for the green lantern. . The comics I read were always pretty good, so I hope the movie meets my expectations.
I have been working ALOT lately. Infact, I'm getting that work related stressed feeling again creeping up on me. I must control this, as if it does take effect I will be out for count lol So, I pray the Lord gives me strenght on this.

Tricky Riddle moment!!
A bus driver was heading down a street in Colorado. He went right past a stop sign without stopping, he turned left where there was a "no left turn" sign and he went the wrong way on a one-way street. Then he went on the left side of the road past a cop car. Still - he didn't break any traffic laws.
Why not?

He was walking. (Highlight for Answer)

The Definition of Folly. . . .

Folly [fol-ee] noun 1. the state or quality of being foolish; lack of understanding or sense.
If you would like to see a good example of "folly" watch the 1944 movie, National Velvet. Starring Elizabeth Taylor & Mickey Rooney.
I had always correlated "folly" to "silly". . . Which mean almost the same exact thing,
Silly [sil-ee] adjective 1. weak minded or lacking good sense; stupid or foolish:
a silly writer . .
2. absurd; ridiculous; irrational: a silly idea.

Perhaps that enlightens alittle bit of the original meaning of such. . Can be downright rude, it's more or less just callin someone stupid nicely. . . lol Though I truly do not look at it that way, I usually see in a good manner as I fully embrace these things with the good parts, as stated in the National Velvet. . Sometimes Folly, or being Silly. .  Is not entirely a bad thing, and actually needed in life.
Therfor the name of this blog,  The Folly Parlor.  I wanted to give a meaning, an understanding of what this blog is about. Like the beginning of a good book,
you learn your main characters, and you see a heading of what the plot is about.

Random Quote of the Day: "The true secret of giving advice is, after you have honestly given it, to be perfectly indifferent whether it is taken or not and never persist in trying to set people right."

 What's Happening?
(This will be my little spot of my current moment & what my plans for the day is)
So! Having a wonderful morning so far, going to be doing work at home today.
I plan on:
  1. Cleaning my Room
  2. Putting down flooring in my dad's office
  3. Cleaning the kitchen
  4. Washing Clothes
  5. Cleaning my car
  6. Helping my mom with transferring stuff from the house to dad's office.
Hopefully I'll be able to at least get half of it done :) Had a nice turkey sandwhich and banana, and I feel really good! I'm really wanting to get back into my music as well, (I used to play guitar, write songs & sing alot back when. But haven't done so in quite awhile now truly. Alittle here & there, but not enough to truly count.)
I would like to create an album, and try and sell it. We'll have to see!

Silly Riddle of the day:
What has four wheels & flies?
A garbage truck
 (Highlight for answer)

So, I love to write. (I guess to someone whose reading this would be like, "Wow, really? I would have never known. . . Rofl!)
But yes! I do love to write :D
I loved to write stories, songs, poems and lots of things. I just normally don't post any of it. I have a story I started writing back when, but then stopped and now I have been re-reading it and wanting to go with it again. I might post some of it, for y'all to get some sneek peeks :)
I never posted any of my poetry either, except for a few. I will post an old one I wrote a few years back,
       I'm the Girl . .
That you can't quite figure out why I am the way I am.
Just when you think you know me, I surprize you once again.
I'm the friend that's by your side. But yet I'm the stranger, along on the ride.
You'll always trust me. And Loyal, I'll be. I have my faults, like everyone else you see.
My place in the world, takes many different turns.
So you stand there, staring at me. Tilting your head, soon you'll see.
That I'm the Girl, who's Wild and Free.

Not the best perhaps, but alot of girls liked it at the time :) lol
Alrighty so! Howabout another riddle? A more difficult riddle perhaps?
Tricky Riddle of the Day:
A man was at a bar feeling poor he sees a rich man take 50's out his pocket to pay the cashier. The poor man says to the rich man "I know all the songs known to man." The rich man laughed and said,"I bet you all the money in my pocket that you can't sing a song with my daughter's name in it, Sarah Lee Greyson." The poor man went home rich and the rich man went home poor. What song did the man sing?

Think hard now!! Everyone knows it. . .
Happy Birthday!

I also love to read. . . I read a book a month-ish ago called, The Emerald Atlas. It was utterly awesome! Great story, thrilling, and loveable characters! It kicked me back into going to the libary and checking out books again. My first set of books I checked out weren't all that great. I haven't started out on my second set. . Which is only three.
"The House of Dies Drear" by Virginia Hamilton
"Ghost Plane of Blackwater" by William F. Hallstead
and "The Suicide Murders" by Howard Engel
The first two I found in the youth mystery section,
and the third in just the regular myster section. It was more of a look & grab so I have no idea.
I will post reviews after I have read them!

Alrighty well, I'll post later Mehearties and ttyl! Feel free to comment, or anything :)
Swyl!

Welcome All! :)

I've had other blogs, but I do not update them anymore, for many good reasons. So, I'm starting fresh!
You will find silly things, odd rants, strange points of view, and every post will more than likely be very mental.
But I'm kinda of a crazy gal, so that's just me and I can't rightly change that. :)
Love you all, see you around!!
